Qahir

Qahir Dhanani is a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group. He leads BCG’s engagements with multilateral and international financial institutions including the World Bank, IFC, IMF, and UN, as well as with various donor and philanthropic organizations. Qahir’s work focuses improving the quality of life of people. He advises senior leaders across the public, private, and social sectors on policy and programmatic issues aimed at expanding finance for climate and development, accelerating the elimination of poverty, advancing action the SDGs, and enhancing institutional efficiency and effectiveness. Qahir serves on the North America leadership teams of BCG’s Public Sector and Social Impact Practices. Prior to joining BCG, Qahir held various positions at the World Bank, including serving as an Advisor to the CEO and leading operations as a Young Professional. He began his career focused on programmatic activities and microfinance with the Aga Khan Development Network.Qahir holds an MPP from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and a BA from Cornell University.

He is an avid traveler having worked in or visited over 100 countries.
