H.E. Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mashreq Bank. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Mashreq for nearly 30 years and under his leadership, Mashreq grew from a small local bank, to a leading customer centric financial institution in the region known for its innovative products and services. His Excellency also serves on the Board of Directors of the Abdullah Al Ghurair Group of Companies, one of the largest and most successful corporate organizations in the UAE and the Middle East. From 2007 to 2011, His Excellency served as a member of the United Arab Emirates Federal National Council (UAE Parliament). He previously served on the boards of directors of several large corporations, including Emaar, Dubai Investments, Visa International, MasterCard, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Arab Business Council – World Economic Forum (WEF). He was also a member of the Consultative GCC Council for the Confidential GCC Leaders Classification and President of The Knowledge Fund, as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of New York University in the United States.
