Hala Hanna is the Executive Director of MIT Solve, an MIT initiative for social impact innovation and a leader in tech-based social entrepreneurship globally. She has over 15 years of global experience in advancing equity and sustainability for all. Her career includes significant roles at the World Economic Forum, where she served as Director of Strategy and Impact and led programming for the Middle East. Hala’s expertise in public sector reform and strategy development is backed by her advisory work with the World Bank, UNDP and UN Women. Her academic credentials include degrees from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and the American University of Beirut.
