Ahmed

Ahmed Baghoum is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Masdar City. He is in charge of steering the company’s strategy, innovation-focused initiatives, collaborations, and R&D cluster toward long-term growth. Baghoum, a Masdar veteran, joined the business in 2009 as director of the Masdar City Free Zone, where he managed all special economic zone responsibilities. He later became Masdar’s executive director of human capital and services. In this role, he was in charge of the department’s talent acquisition, development, and optimization of the company’s UAE national personnel. He was also in charge of the company’s corporate services. Baghoum was previously the executive director of customer operations at the Dubai Technology & Media Free Zone Authority, This included Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, and Dubai Knowledge Village. He also oversaw the re-engineering of the Government Service Operations Department, where he assisted in the development and implementation of innovative service concepts through the formation of new relationships with important government agencies. Baghoum received his MBA from Texas Tech University. He also has a master’s degree in project management and management ideas from Regis University in the United States.
